Cancer Program

The Cancer Program at North Florida Regional Medical Center offers state-of-the-art diagnostic, surgical and medical services. The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer designates the North Florida Regional Medical Center Cancer Program as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. Our multidisciplinary oncology team is dedicated to cancer prevention, early detection, timely diagnosis, optimal treatment, rehabilitation and support. At North Florida Regional, we embrace clinical research, new technologies and therapeutic advances in the fight against cancer. We provide a full spectrum of services for cancer patients including:

Our Cancer Program Coordinator and Oncology Nurse Navigator work closely with physicians and staff in the oncology network to promote integrated cancer care. Our multidisciplinary cancer committee plans, directs and evaluates the cancer program to ensure that advanced medical and treatment technologies are available.

Our Cancer Registry stores reportable statistics by demographics, site of malignancy, stage of disease, type of treatment, follow-up and survival. Cancer registrars organize weekly Cancer Conferences (Tumor Boards) which provide a multidisciplinary review of cancer cases.
