Gynecologic Oncology
Women who have or may have a gynecologic malignancy such as cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vaginal or vulvar cancer are cared for by physicians who specialize in gynecologic oncology. While not all gynecologic cancers requiring surgery can be treated with a robotic minimally-invasive approach, many can. When gynecologic cancer is detected at an early stage, surgical removal of the uterus is often recommended. When it is possible to perform da Vinci®, it offers women significant advantages.
