If you or a loved one snores regularly and has one or more of the following symptoms below, you may have undiagnosed Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA):
- Pauses in breathing or snorting during sleep
- Gasping or choking during sleep
- Generally restless sleep
- Excessive sleepiness or fatigue during the day
- Large neck or crowding of the upper airway
- Waking up with headaches
- Frequent urination during the night
- Poor memory or concentration
- High blood pressure
- Diabetes
- Depression
If you checked any of the above, you should discuss your symptoms with your physician or a sleep specialist. Different treatment options exist and depend on the severity of your OSA and other aspects of the disorder. Talk to your doctor about your choices.
